Spring Cleaning tips from the Inside Out

It’s Spring and a wonderful time to clean house. Let’s get started! If you haven’t worn it in a year, get rid of it! If it doesn’t bring you joy, donate it so someone else can find joy in it. Once we clean out the closets, shelves and drawers, we feel more open and free. Our outer world is a reflection of our inner world. From this space of visual clarity we are now ready to go inside for a little inner spring cleaning. The acronym P.E.M. is a great way to go about it:

We begin with a

Physical Cleanse:

Practice yoga. Yoga is the Ultimate clutter remover, mind body and spirit.

A great addition to your yoga practice is the super food nutrition of Isagenix. There simply is no better physical cleanse system in the world. They are the world leader in nutritional cleansing. Complete meal replacements with whey protein from happy cows milked in season and ingredients from New Zealand, from clean soil free of herbicides and pesticides. Isa super-food nutrition makes it easy to release stored fat and gain lean muscle, they also incorporate cleanse days; 1 or 2-day fasts to allow your digestive system a chance to rest. Another great way to cleanse is to pick something that you currently are consuming that does not benefit you nutritionally and give it up. I recently gave up sweets, I’m going on 15 days and I don’t really miss them at all. I have noticed increased energy and clarity without the sugar fog I was in.

Emotional Cleanse:

Like Elsa said, “Let it go..” if you keep everything inside, take some time to get it out. My four granddaughter vented for a good two minutes the other night at the dinner table. We sat straight faced and listened as she told us everything she was upset about. When she was done I could tell she felt so much better and you know what we did too, getting a kick out of her seriousness!

On the other hand if you find yourself always dumping everything on others, take this time not to complain, simply be with your thoughts and sort them out from within.

Mental Cleanse:

Go within, begin a meditation practice. Let go of your thoughts and create some space in your head. Ten minutes of silence each day is a terrific way to begin. Sitting meditations can be very challenging and there are other ways to find stillness. I really enjoy Yoga Nidra- sleep based meditation. There is no wrong way to do it. This ancient practice drops you from the thinking mind and into the feeling body. Resting in your divinity is supremely freeing and exhilarating! Click here to learn more about Yoga Nidra

All these cleanses are simple and effective ways to clear out the old habits, old emotions and old thoughts. The best part of that is that by clearing out what we are not, we are left with who we really are…

Happy cleaning
